According to reliable sources from inside Karaj-Ghezel-Hesar prison, since Wednesday Dec. 3rd, 2014 at least 500 prisoners of Unit 2, Ward 3 of this prison have started a riot and hunger strike against the abhorrent increasing number of executions by the Iranian regime. Reports indicate that prisoners are resisting guards’ bulling and intimidations and that Khamenei’s mercenaries in the prison have not been able to quell the unrest and have been shutting the doors and preventing any interactions with the prisoners. No one is allowed to enter this ward.
When guards tried to raid the rioting cells, they were pushed back by protesters. The prisoners have rejected the prison food and say that they do not take food from the bloody hands of prison guards.
Families of protesting prisoners are concerned that their loved ones could be executed hastily. Most of the prisoners in Ward 3 are condemned to death by hanging.
