Iran is the accomplice of Houthi rebels in Yemen and the main reason behind all the destruction and despair in Syria, said Saudi Foreign Minister Dr. Adel al-Jubair in an interview with Al Arabiya TV on Tuesday.
“By sending arms, and by dispatching military advisors and experts, all in violation of UN Security Council Resolution 2216, Iran has helped the Houthis’ insurgency against the legitimate government of Yemen,” he said.
“Iran has to be the last country to talk of stability in Syria. Everyone knows Iran is the main element behind destruction and despair in Syria. Iran must refrain from provoking war and sedition in the Middle East, and end its support of the Houthis in Yemen,” the Saudi Foreign Minister concluded.
