The French Committee for a Democratic Iran including Parliament and Senate representatives and French political personalities, in a letter to General Petraeus, expressed concern over Ashraf protection transfer and emphasized: Protection of Ashraf and its residents is the responsibility of Multi National Force.

Part of the letter reads: “Based on received reports, the forces under your command intend to deliver protection of the members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) in Camp Ashraf in Diyala province.

“In the name of the French Committee for a Democratic Iran consisting of tens of personalities and parliamentarians, I ask you not to yield pressures of the Iranian regime and prevent transfer of Ashraf protection. Protection of Ashraf and its residents is the responsibility of Multi National Force.”
