According to local sources at around 11 AM Sunday a motorcyclist approached 3 young women in Shiekh Saddough Street in Isfahan splashing them with acid. One of the women, according to the witnesses, was killed instantly due to acid burning through her chest, and two others were severely injured and taken to the hospital. An eyewitness who was present at the scene said there is a climate of fear among women and young girls in the city and many are afraid to leave the house.
The acid attack phenomenon has been in the center of news especially in Isfahan recently and the total number of women who have been the victim of this barbaric and cruel attack have reached 14 people so far.
