Maliki’s repressive forces storm mosque in town in Diyala Province

INTV, 19 Oct 2013 – Maliki’s security forces raided a mosque in the town of Meqdadiya in Diyala Province, forcing worshippers out of the building with repulsive insults.
Baghdad TV reported citing eyewitnesses that a unit of a strike battalion linked to Maliki attacked the mosque after Friday prayers under the pretext that they were not informed of the mosque’s reopening. However, after the mosque speaker showed an official letter authorizing the reopening of the mosque, the security forces said there has been a bomb placed behind the mosque. Eyewitnesses said the security forces forced the worshippers out of the mosque by resorting to repulsive insults.
