In an official statement about the situation in Iraq, the US President George W. Bush underlined the negative role of the Iranian regime.
French news agency reported : President Bush warned Iran Thursday that it faced a “choice” on Iraq and said that the United States would act to defend its interests there from any threats from Tehran.
“The regime in Tehran also has a choice to make: They can live in peace with its neighbor, enjoy strong economic and cultural and religious ties, or it can continue to arm and train and fund illegal militant groups which are terrorizing the Iraqi people and turning them against Iran,” he said.

He also pointed out that the tribal Sheikhs from various provinces in Iraq take more responsibilities in security of their region by taking action against terrorist groups.
He emphasized on moving toward national reconciliation.
