Based on reports from inside Iran, the prison guards of Gohardasht Prison in the city of Karaj (west of Tehran) attacked and beat the Kurdish prisoners of this prison and transferred them to solitary confinement afterwards. This vicious raid took place following an attack carried out by a group of prisoners affiliated to the Iranian regime, and instigated by the head of the prison’s intelligence branch and head of Ward 6 of this prison. As a result of these attacks numerous political prisoners were beaten and hurt.
