White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said the US has major differences with the Iranian regime and will maintain its intense pressures, either for Iran support of international terrorist – especially for the Lebanese Hezbollah – or for imposing the existing sanctions. The US will not let Iran go, he added.
Washington is very much aware of the Iranian regime and it seeks to resolve with its global allies this challenge posed for the security of the region and international community, Carney said, adding the important aspect in all this is Iran’s nuclear program.
