Supporters of the Iranian Resistance and families of Ashraf residents staged a gathering outside the European Union headquarters in Brussels demanding active intervention by European countries to provide protection for Ashraf.
Senator Dirk Claes, member of the Belgian Senate Presiding Board, numerous NCRI commission chairmen and Father Daniel, a renowned and progressive Belgian priest participated in this gathering and delivered speeches in support of the demands of this demonstration.
“As a senator and president of the Belgian Parliamentary Committee for a Democratic Iran, we call on the Belgian government, the Foreign Minister and EU foreign ministers to support the European plan for Ashraf,” Senator Claes said in his speech. “This plan, prepared by Mr. Struan Stevenson, is the only possible and practical plan to solve the Ashraf crisis.”
