The Bahraini interior ministry said in a statement issued Wednesday, Nov. 4 that it has discovered a large Iranian regime backed terrorist cell in Bahrain and has arrested 47 members of that cell.
The statement, published by the country’s official news agency, says that members of this group had planned to carry on terrorist acts in that country, but their plot was thwarted after their members were arrested. Following the arrests, a huge cache of arms and explosives were discovered.
Preliminary investigations show that these men worked for the Iranian regime and had direct contacts with that regime. They had also received gun and explosive training in Iran.
Bahrain foreign minister has said on Monday that the danger from the Iranian regime is no less than the danger from Daesh, the Arabic name for the ISIS.
