
Iraqi parliamentary circles have protested Maliki’s decision for as to why he gave authorization to Iranian security companies to provide protection for pilgrims, according to a report from the SAWA Arabic Radio.
Resorting to security companies is considered a great breach of the law and it even infiltrates intelligence officials from specific countries into Iraq, said MP and senior Iraqiya slate member Alia Nussaiyef Jassim. She called on the government to refuse this and for Iraqi security agencies to take up the security of pilgrims to the Holy Shrines.
Also, Iraqi MP Arshad al-Salehi denounced the authorization given to foreign companies for activity in Iraq and underlined on relying on Iraqi security bodies in providing protection.
