Number of prisoners in Iran rises 20% every year

Based on a report wired by the state-run ISNA news agency, deputy head of the Iranian regime’s judiciary branch said crime is on the rise throughout the country, stressing the number of prisoners in Iran under the mullahs’ rule rises 20% every year.
“Every year the number of prisoner rise 20%, which is three times the capacity of the country’s prisons,” Zolghadr said. “For example, 12,000 prisoners are being in Mashhad Prison which has a capacity of 3,500 inmates. Our prisoners have become universities of crime, not rehabilitation.”
“Iran ranks the first in crimes among Islamic countries and fourth in all of Asia,” he admitted. “This is not good news at all.”
