Azzaman daily (Iraq), 8 Oct 2013 – An organization naming itself the Iraq Sheikhs and Leaders condemned the attack on Camp Ashraf and the abduction of a number of its residents.
A statement issued by this organization declares, “We strongly condemn the attack against Camp Ashraf and call on the United States government and United Nations to pressure the responsible officials for the immediate release the hostages.” The statement continued to warn on any harassment against the hostages.
The statement also called for the immediate release of the hostages and protection provided for Liberty by the UN to keep the camp immune from any direct and indirect intervention by Iran.
