UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Iran Ahmad Shaheed said in an extensive interview with Radio Farda – published on the radio’s website on Tuesday – that the Iranian regime’s refusal to cooperate with human rights mechanisms of this organization before the publication of its report brought further pressure on Tehran and the increase of a possibility of options such as the establishment of an investigative committee of the referral of Iran’s dossier to the United Nations.
