The French government expressed concerns over the increasing executions by Maliki’s government in Iraq.
The French Foreign Ministry spokesman issued a statement announcing Paris’ concerns over this situation, adding they have shared these worries with Baghdad.
Declared executions in Iraq have reached over 129 counts from the beginning of 2012. The French Foreign spokesman once again emphasized the disapproval of the death penalty by Paris and other European countries.
