Agence France Presse and the Iranian regime’s state-run daily Asr-e Iran reported of a meeting taking place between the foreign ministers of the UK and Iranian regime at the sidelines of a special conference on Afghanistan and narcotics contraband. UK Foreign Minister William Hague warned Salehi that his country will stand against the mullahs’ efforts to enhance their nuclear capabilities, adding that the Iranian regime is neglecting international community demands.
Hague told Salehi that there are many ranges of disagreements between Britain and Iran, but the people and the government of Britain do not have substantial enmity with Iran. Hague added that UK’s stance is strongly based on efforts for nonproliferation of nuclear weapons.
