Iran: Influenza epidemic in Urumia Central Prison and injection of paralyzing medicine to the patients

The outbreak of influenza virus in Urumia Central Prison during past week infected many prisoners and with prescribing wrong medicine for the patients, the problem got more complicated.
Campaign for Defense of Pol Prisoners cited a prisoner describing the situation since Saturday of last week that the prison medics treated the patients by injecting wrong medicine in to them where at least 8 people have lost their ability to move and become partially paralyzed. Three of these prisoners are identified as: Jahangirzadeh, Ali Bakhshi and Kahrizi. These 3 inmates were from public wards. These 8 paralyzed prisoners have been left unattended and nothing is being done for them. They all have lost their hand and leg movements.
