
Further reports from Chile following the 8.3 magnitude earthquake reveals that over 1 million people have been left displaced in this country.
The epicenter of this quake was about 50 kilometers west of the city of Illapel in Chile which is about 3 hours north of the capital, Santiago.
Tsunami waves have reached the Chilean coastlines and many terrified people are rushing for safer grounds. Hundreds of buildings have been destroyed, and there are reports of people being killed and injured.

4-meter high waves have killed at least 3 people, Chilean President Michelle Bachelet said.
Reuters reported the quake was so powerful it was felt all the way across the continent in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina.
