Four Kurdish political prisoners in the Ghezel Hesar Prison on Thursday, 16 January began the 74th day of their hunger strike. Last night the condition of Hamed Ahmadi turned for the worst and he passed out in the cell. The other three inmates, Jamsheed and Jahangeer Dehghani and Kamal Molaie are in critical condition and are suffering from muscular pain. The families of these inmates in Sanandaj are now in their third week of hunger strike.
According to reports, a group of political prisoners in Evin Prison’s Ward 350 protested to the prison officials’ prevention of medical treatment for political prisoner Ahmad Daneshpour Moghadam, who is a family member of the Liberty residents. The inmates demanded his transfer to a hospital. In a letter, these inmates warned of the critical condition and risk of death of this political prisoner.
In other news, the inhumane mullahs’ regime collectively hanged 7 inmates in Karaj’s Gohardasht Prison. Another 5 inmates were hanged in the city of Shiraz.
