INTV, 27 Nov 2013 – At the invitation of the Friends of a Free Iran Committee in Stockholm, a conference was held in the Swedish Parliament with the presence of a number of MPs from various parties, international lawyers and human rights advocates.
The speakers at this conference protested the inaction of the international community in the face of the global call for the release of the hostages and protection for Camp Liberty. They also expressed their solidarity with the hunger strikers in Liberty and numerous cities across the globe. They went on to call for urgent action by the Swedish government in this regard with the US government and United Nations to respond on their commitments regarding the protection of Camp Liberty residents and impelling Maliki to immediately releasing the seven Ashrafi hostages.
