According to reports, teachers from across the country will stage a gathering to protest the undesirable and critical conditions of education system of the country, and unheeding and inaction of Rouhani’s government in respect to their demands. This protest gathering will be held on Thursday April 16th in front of the Mullahs’ parliament, and education and culture ministry. In reply to a call by the teachers’ union, the protesting teachers gathered in front of the education and culture office, and carried placards and written slogans. They announced that they are not satisfied with suffocating atmosphere of schools, and poor financial and living conditions.
According to statistics there are half a million teachers in Iran, who have the duty of training, upbringing, and educating close to 14 million students.
