According to Azzaman daily, published in Iraq, Association of Southern Iraqi Independent Intellectuals announced in its statement: “Change of Ashraf protection responsibility, which is the responsibility of the force that has disarmed them according to International Law, is a conspiracy for upsetting the regional balance.”

The statement partly adds: “Through its irresponsible behavior and nuclear adventurism, the Iranian regime has dragged not only the people of Iraq but the people of the whole region to the verge of a war.”

Association of Southern Iraqi Independent Intellectuals asked the Iraqi people and the Arab countries to stand for their historical, regional and ethnic responsibilities against the Iranian regime’s meddling.
