In its editorial the Iranian regime’s state-run daily Kayhan affiliated to Khamenei bluntly acknowledged a series of terrorist missions carried out by the Quds Force in Iraq and other states in the region.
“Since the US set foot in the region in 2001 and occupied Iraq and Afghanistan, they have deeply and realistically tasted what it means to confront the Quds Force,” Kayhan wrote.
“The US comprehension of Iran’s regional power, not to say always, is mostly based on confrontations with the Quds Force,” the editorial continued. “Without a doubt, the day they decided to expand their presence in the region they could not even imagine with whom they would engage and who their main competitor is.”
“The Quds Force is not just an elite force, it is a way of thought which has no boundaries and is in constant contradiction to Western values and way of life,” Kayhan added. “The Quds Force teaches us not to stay home and to fight our enemy in its own territory. They didn’t take this seriously, but now, they hear ‘Death to Israel’ in the heart of New York. Now they should understand the meaning of ‘overseas missions’.”
