Mullah Sedighi expressed concerns over the Iranian regime’s sham elections rigging actually failing. His remarks shed light on Khamenei’s downgrading power over engineering the elections aimed at eliminating his rivals.
“If anyone votes for a traitor, don’t say the Guardian Council approved him, the Guardian Council acted based on the law and has no information about the details… believe me, those vetted by the Guardian Council then came out as the voice of foreigners in our own parliament, and some of them are now living abroad along with their masters,” he said.
Sedighi used this opportunity to lash out at the Rafsanjani-Rouhani faction.
“The enemy sends spies into our country, they have their 5th column, they have agents, alongside our senior officials, they place very suspicious people in high positions, they don’t have a clue that he is a foreign agent. They send intelligence and news reports from here to the foreigners, they provide addresses, and they continuously advise senior officials, change their viewpoints, separate them from the revolution and the people… These people have specific universities to train presidents, they work on their abilities, and from day one they train them as seculars. There are such people in our country. They have received their education in the West…”
