SOHR , 07 July 2017 — The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned from several reliable sources that a ceasefire agreement in southern Syria is expected to be carried out on Sunday the 9th of July 2017, by an American – Russian – Jordanian agreement, reliable sources confirmed that the agreement includes the provinces of Daraa, Al-Suwaidaa and Quneitra, which have witnessed in recent weeks violent clashes between the factions working there against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the agreement, which includes the provinces of Syrian south, which aim to achieve a “lasting de-escalation in the Syrian south and suspend hostilities”, based on a ceasefire on the contact lines between the factions and the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, and the withdrawal of the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them from these contact lines to barracks of the regime, and preparing areas for the return of refugees from Jordan to the Syrian south, and delivering humanitarian assistance to these areas which are committed to the ceasefire.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 17th of June 2017, that a Russian-American-Jordanian truce started to be carried out in Daraa province, and it was extended to be expire on the 20th June 2017, but it was ended as a result of the renewed aerial and artillery shelling by the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them and the helicopters and warplanes.
