
In response to the King of Jordan, Saudi Defense Minister and Deputy Crown Prince Amir Mohamad bin Salman visitinged Amman for the first time after accepting his new post, Al Arabiya reported on August 4th.
The Saudi Defense Minister met with Jordan’s King Abdullah II and other senior Jordanian officials to discuss bilateral relations and joint cooperation.
A joint declaration was issued after this meeting strongly condemning Iran’s meddling in the Middle East. Saudi Arabia and Jordan called for a solution to guarantee security for the Syrian people. They also discussed developments in Yemen and the support provided by the Arab coalition to the legitimate government of this country.
The two leaders also emphasized on further international support for Jordan in accepting Syrian refugees. They also stressed on unity in Iraq and the necessity to have all walks of life taking part in the political trend.
This joint declaration strongly condemned Iran’s efforts to meddle in Arab countries’ affairs with the aim of causing insecurity and instability in the region.
