In an interview with Baghdad TV, Ahmad al-Alwani, the Iraqi MP, said: “Everybody, far or near, politician or non-politician is aware of the extent of the Iranian regime’s meddling in Iraq.”
He added: “Presently this regime is suffering from internal political and security problems and seeks to export its problems to Iraq. This is carried out by explosions in Baghdad and Sadr City and other regions. IEDs that originated in Iran are found in all parts of Iraq even in Al-Anbar province. Despite ideological differences with some of the armed groups, the Iranian regime recruits and absorbs them and seeks to target Iraqis through them.
