Iran: youth in Rasht and Roodbar chant ’don’t be afraid, we are all together’

In Roodbar, northern Iran, dozens of youth took to the streets using the occasion of feast of fire to protest the suppression in Iran. They chanted ’don’t be afraid, we are all together.’ This slogan resembled the slogans used during the 2009 popular uprisings where thousands of people expressed support and solidarity by creating this slogan.
The youth were able to bypass the security guards in Imam Blvd and despite heavy police presence, they lit up bonfires and jumped over the fire as a measure to leave away all the evil of the last year and get the good of the coming year.
They confronted the police who was trying to stop this ceremony and chanted ’don’t be afraid, we are all together’ as they were jumping over the fire.
