In the annual Ashura rituals, groups of mourners in Karbala also cried slogans against corruption in Maliki’s government, widespread fraud, unemployment and difficulties in the people’s ordinary lives.
Al Sharqiya TV reported people in their mourning slogans criticized the political situation and the corruption ruling the country, holding the government responsible for increasing unemployment and the pressure being placed on ordinary people.
Mourners in Karbala condemned financial and administrative corruption, aggression against the people’s rights and issues revealed regarding the Russian arms deal.
