On the fiftieth day of Iranians’ Geneva sit-in in support of Ashraf on Tuesday, John Christer Lond, member of Foreign Relations Committee of Danish Parliament, Dr. Rosenbaum, progressive priest and member of Committee of Friends of Free Iran in Netherlands, a number of NCRI members and supporters of the Iranian Resistance delivered speeches in defense of Ashraf and necessity of the continuance of its protection based on international conventions.
In his speech, John Christer Lond, member of Foreign Relations Committee of Danish Parliament, said: I share your concern for protection of your offspring in Ashraf, particularly in an era that terrorism under the name of religion threatens humans’ lives. I respect you for your democratic struggle and I hope the world realizes this struggle too.
The Danish MP added that he would ask the Danish government to try all its efforts to follow all necessary measures for Ashraf residents after his return to Denmark and would question the Foreign Minister for pursuing this purpose.
Dr. Rosenbaum, progressive priest and member of Committee of Friends of Free Iran in Netherland, expressed his concern regarding Ashraf City protection transfer and said: I had the honor to meet in Ashraf with the persons who try for freedom. I am concerned about transferring protection of Ashraf and that is why I draw attention of the international human rights organizations and the US and Iraqi governments to this problem that such an act is against the laws and the Fourth Geneva Convention.
