On January 16, 1989, the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran announced discovery of collective graves at several points of the country. After conceding to ceasefire in the Iran-Iraq war in 1988, Khomeini’s criminal regime staged a widespread wave of execution of political prisoners in different cities of Iran and massacred 30,000 of the bravest PMOI members or supporter.
Based on this statement, on January 1989, bodies of hundreds of the executed ones were discovered in collective graves by the people.

As a sample, reported by eye witnesses, the IRGC criminal members buried bodies of hundreds of executed political prisoners in a collective grave near the Kasma-Soume’eh Sara road in Gilan province during one night.
The executioners of Khomeini regime’s prosecution buried a great number of executed persons near the Khavaran Rd. nearby Armenians’ cemetery.
In Isfahan, they buried the executed persons in groups of 100, 60 and 41 in collective graves at Baghe-Rezvan Cemetery.
In Tehran, a great number of executed prisoners were buried in a big canal at Beheshte Zahra Cemetery.
