Families of Ashraf residents and supporters of Iranian Resistance staged their 291st consecutive day of sit-in outside the United Nations European Headquarters in Geneva, calling on the UN and Mr. Martin Kobler, UN Secretary General’s Special Representative to Iraq, to provide free access to medical services and lawyers for Ashraf residents in Camp Liberty, and have Iraqi police station outside the small Liberty vicinity.
The participants also called on UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and other senior officials to take urgent and immediate action to have standards in Camp Liberty meet internationally-recognized levels and condemned their silence and inaction in this regard.
