According to reports received from inside Iran, the father of political prisoner Hossein Ronaghi visited his son on Monday, June 16th, in ward 350 of Tehran’s notorious Evin Prison. After this meeting he said Hossein’s health was deteriorating and his life is in danger, adding if Hossein is on hunger strike, then he too will go outside the prosecutor’s office and go on hunger strike.
Despite the fact that his son was taken to a hospital, this father said no medical treatment was provided for his son and the physicians only conducted a few tests. He was returned to prison afterwards. Hossein Ronaghi has said he is also willing to go on a dry hunger strike.
