Al-Seyassah Kuwaiti daily on Oct. 17 wrote a group of Shiite leaders and tribal Sheikhs of Iraq in an interview with Reuters News Agency stated: Iranian regime as the second occupier of Iraq through its affiliated political parties is imposing its reactionary and fundamentalist ideas and ideals to the people of southern oil-reach provinces of Iraq and is using its militias to terrorize the people.

One of the Sheikhs said: the people of south are devout people… and we are believers but we want to live in freedom. The impression that we Shiite people of south are fortunate because we are ruling Iraq is wrong. the Shiite extremists are ruling Iraq and their victory is a disaster and a tragedy to us. The Supreme Islamic Iraqi Council (SIIC) has imported Islamic reactionary and fundamentalist ideas from Iran into Iraq.

The head of tribal Sheikhs added if their names or even their province were to be disclosed in that interview, they would get killed. Another Sheikh said: Fear and terror rules the streets at the present time. We can not say what we want to say and should anybody oppose would be immediately abducted and killed.
