In a positive response to a nationwide teachers’ protest, teachers an instructors in the southern City of Shiraz gathered in front of the Education ministry today, Thursday, April 16, 2015 since 9:30 this morning local time (5:00 GMT).
Reports indicate that 400 teachers have taken to the demonstration and as it is indicated the number is growing by the hour.
The Shiraz demonstration is coinciding with the nationwide teachers’ protest in 8 sites up to time of this report.
Iranian teachers are protesting against suppression in schools, discrimination and job insecurity.
