A number of Assad’s loyal militants have been killed during intense clashes between Syrian opposition fighters against Assad troops joined by Lebanese Hezbollah mercenaries in the Zabadani district near Damascus, Al Jazeera TV reported on Sunday, August 23rd.
At the same time rescue teams in Douma, the target of vicious airstrikes recently staged by the Assad regime, are pulling bodies of more victims from beneath the rubbles. In Saturday’s bombings dozens of people were killed and injured.
Dozens of barrel bombs were dropped in various areas of Deraa Province leaving many civilians killed and injured, and literally levelling numerous residential buildings.
