Al Jazeera TV, 29 Sep, 2012 – Ali Akbar Velayati, senior advisor to the Iranian Supreme Leader, said that Washington’s decision regarding removing the PMOI from the list of terrorist organizations shows that all US policies towards Iran have failed. Velayati said that this decision will not change his government’s policy towards Washington. 
Maryam Rajavi welcomed the US State Department decision to remove the name of this organization from the US terrorist list, after its 15-year designation. Rajavi said that this was a decision that will push forward the Iranian people’s resistance vis-à-vis the clerical regime. Washington had conditioned this decision to the evacuation of Camp Ashraf in Iraq and transfer to Camp Liberty, a former US base near Baghdad.
