UN aid to besieged people in Syria reported not enough

The first United Nations food aid consignments have entered the city of Homs in Syria, reports indicate. It is said the food stuffs brought in was only 3 tons while this city has been under an inhumane siege imposed by Assad’s military forces for over 600 days now.
The three-day ceasefire in Homs intended to exit civilians and send food and medicine is part of the deal made in the Geneva II conference between the officials of Syrian National Coalition and the Assad regime.
Coinciding with the transfer of a number of the besieged people in the Old City of Homs, the criminal Assad regime has placed these areas under heavy shelling and mortar fire. According to Al Jazeera TV the Assad regime has violated the cease fire for the third time.
The UN Security Council passed a resolution condemning the widespread law violations in Syria and called on the Syrian regime to immediately stop the bombing of residential areas. The UN also is calling on the Assad regime to quickly facilitate humanitarian support reaching those in desperate need.
