Iran: Political prisoner Ali Saremi urges people to rise up against tyrannical regime

NCRI, 10 July 2010- In a letter to the Iranian people, political prisoner Ali Saremi, called on Iranians this week to honor the anniversary of July 9 uprising by protesting and expressing their hatred towards the clerical dictatorship ruling Iran.
Mr. Saremi is currently held at Gohardasht Prison in the Tehran suburb of Karaj and has a son in Camp Ashraf, Iraq, home to more than 3,400 members of the Iranian opposition, People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK).
The English translation of his letter is as follows:
In the name of God
July 9 is one of the unforgettable days in Iranian history, just like June 12, 20, 5, and May 27, as well as the massacres of July and August of 1988, and December 7 and February 9. These days have been significant occurrences in the past few decades. And we have not even mentioned the execution sentences that take place daily, weekly and monthly.
As a result of their deteriorating legitimacy and power, tyrannies fundamentally resort to violence, with prisons, state terrorism, executions and torture forming their most important instruments for continuing their rule. In this context, they make the most use of their secret police and spies.
The tyrannical rule in Iran does not hold accountable senior officials when there are revelations about torture chambers like Kahrizak, where the deprived children of this nation like Ruholamini lose their lives, and instead puts the blame on a group of low-ranking agents without pointing to the main culprits.
It would be most appropriate if the Iranian people can honor the memory of July 9 with their protests and express their hatred towards this suppression.
