The Association of Independent Iraqi Jurists for defense of Human Rights, in a statement called the remarks of Ali Dabbagh, Iraqi government’s spokesman, an indicative of the clerical regime’s fear of the Declaration of 3 million Iraqi Shiites and warned of its outcomes.
This statement reads: At a time when the mullahs’ regime ruling Iran has started to feel its fascist reign is reaching its end because of its gruesome sectarian and expansionist policy on the cost of Iraqi people and Arabic nation, Dabbagh, as the spokesman of Iraqi government, made its remarks against the PMOI after more than 3 million honest Iraqis from southern Iraq supported this organization; an event that horrified the mullahs’ regime and its affiliates, who hold the regime’s identities but are in power in Iraq.
Terrorist organizations are not recognized by the international law whatsoever, whereas the MNF-I has recognized the PMOI as a legal organization since 2003 under the Fourth Geneva Conventions, and this means that the organization is under the supervision of ICRC and the UNHCR. So, the question is why they (the government) ignore these assertions, political orders and legal affairs that are against sectarianism and racism?
The remarks against the PMOI are made by individuals who have no relation with the Iraqi people, and their identities and affiliation are beyond the logic of law and morality. Their remarks are nothing more or less than an imitation of the mullahs.
We, therefore, warn against the breach of international law by these subservient agents.
