Iran: Seven executions and two amputations in five days

On Saturday, January 26, the brutal public prosecutor of the mullahs’ regime in Sari (northern Iran) informed of amputation of fingers of a person charged with robbery in Sari prison. Two days prior, regime’s henchmen amputated fingers of a 29 year old man in public in Shiraz. Regime’s senior henchman Ali Alghasi, Shiraz public prosecutor, called implementation of hand amputation a “serious warning” to all who “cause insecurity”. He emphasized: “decisiveness and intolerance” is in the agenda of the judiciary.
Furthermore, according to state-run media outlets, a 27 year old prisoner was hanged publicly in Kerman on January 26. Also, two prisoners in Ilam and Shahroud on January 24, one prisoner in Khorramdarreh on January 23, and three prisoners in Qazvin on January 22 have been executed.
Putting up the gallows in prisons and various cities of the country and implementing the inhuman punishment of amputation of fingers in front of the frightened eyes of the populous is solely for the purpose to create an atmosphere of fear and horror in order to prevent any protests from taking shape, especially with the presidential election show approaching.
