The Association of Independent Iraqi Jurists welcomed the designation of the Qods Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps(IRGC) and called the efforts to root it up from the Iraqi society as a natinalistic duty.
In the call of The Association of Independent Iraqi Jurists this designation is considered a great victory for the Iraqi people and its nationalistic forces.

This call reads: After four and half years resistance by the noble Iraqi people at the time when terrible waves of religious and sectarian terrorism, which is totally a gift of the Iranian regime and its agents in Iraq, has engulfed Iraq, the U.S. government announced on 25th October, 2007 that it had put the Qods Force of the IRGC in the list of terrorist organizations and has prohibited all transactions involving the agents affiliated to the IRGC and to the Qods Force under U.S. jurisdiction, and will put them under prosecution.

This is a big victory for our people and for all nationalist and democratic political forces of our country who have stood firmly before the terrorist storm blowing from the east to our land.

According to the experience of the last four and half years, the hideous terrorist force called as ” Qods Force” that has been exported by the Iranian regime, has been and still is accountable for all ethnic and sectarian bloodshed as well as unleashed terrorism and organized slaughter in Iraq.

Association of Independent Iraqi Jurists congratulates this success to the people and nationalist and democratic forces of Iraq, and we give glad tidings that the path for a great and extensive correction for purging and uprooting the Iranian regime affiliated terrorists from all political, military, administrative and the state organizations has been opened. Therefore, we call all governmental organizations and all institutions affiliated to the government and the civil society organizations to the followings:

1. The current government that its pillars, especially security and disciplinary, have been occupied by the terrorists affiliated to the Iranian regime’s Qods Force must be purged of associates of the Qods Force of Iran to the last person. Their infiltration into the current government is so extensive that will not leave anything from the integrity of this government.
2. As long as the members of the Qods Force are sitting on the seats of the Iraqi parliament, the political, social, juridical and legal legitimacy of this parliament is under question before the eyes of the Iraqi people and other parliaments in the world. Therefore we call the noble and nationalist members of the parliament either Shiite, Kurd, Turk, Sunni, Christian, secular, liberal or democrat to introduce and expel the agents of the Qods Force from the parliament so that no terrorists could be found among them.
3. All ministries in charge of security and disciplinary affairs (including ministries of interior and defense) and police offices of provinces must be purged of such elements. Especially the National Security Ministry that is completely formed of Iran’s mercenaries and its formation lacks any legal legitimacy, must be dissolved immediately.
