Iraqi Umma Party leader Methal Al-Alousi said Nouri Maliki’s government and party as a failure and corrupt, comparing Maliki himself to the Satan, Baghdad daily wrote.
Referring to Maliki’s threats against his opponents saying he has files against them, Alousi said we have always heard Maliki threatening his political opponents by claiming to have corruption files against them. Alousi went on to describe this as political blackmail and called on Maliki to reveal these cases if he truly has any.
“You are a failure and continue to live your lives on the logic of lies. You have even failed among your own social base in the central and southern provinces, you lied to the people and did not provide their most basic services, in a manner that there is not even drinking water. You are not patriots because being a nationalist is not just in words. In fact, one must seriously work and place his efforts to serve this country and provide services for the people,” Baghdad daily cited Alousi as saying.
