In an interview with the German weekly “Die Zeit” the Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice emphasized that Iranian regime must abandon its nuclear enrichment program because it is a main part of producing nuclear weapon.

Rice said: the National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) confirmed that Iranian regime had a secret program to produce nuclear weaponry; a program they always deny. Currently while welcoming and admiring the NIE, they admit having such a program.

She added the NIE did not claim Iranian regime had stopped producing nuclear weapon program but it says there are three stages in building the nuke. First is producing the bomb, which was stopped. But second stage which cosists of enrichment, nuclear fission and reprocessing, is rapidly being carried out. In other words, anyone being able of low-grade enrichment, it can increase it to a higher grade. For that reason, all Security Council resolutions against Iran are mainly aimed at stopping enrichment.

The third stage is to produce long range missiles that Iranian regime has rapidly put on its agenda, said Rice.

Rice added that the important issue about the NIE was about the nuclear weapon program which Iranian regime had stopped in 2003. The question is what happened to that program and where did it go?
