In an interview with Al-Jazeera TV, Sheikh Ahmad al-Ghanim, head of the Iraqi Tribal Coordination Council, warned of the Iranian meddling in Iraq and said: The Iranian regime has a strategic plan that the Arab countries should be alert to; otherwise they will face the same disaster that we are dealing with. The danger is very serious and close and if they do not stand by the Iraqi people and do not change their policies, the Iranian regime will step in their homes.
Replying to the question that what can Egypt or the Arab community do to confront the Iranian intervention in southern Iraq, Sheikh Ahmad al-Ghanim said: We started the project of Southern Iraqi Tribal Council; we ask our brothers for propaganda, political and moral support in order to stand against the Iranian regime’s expansionism in the region.
