Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir emphasized at the United Nations General Assembly there is no political solution for the Syria crisis other than the Geneva-1 statement.
In the transition phase there is no place for Assad. The international community remains unable in taking a defining decision to save the people of Syria from killings, destruction and displacement by Bashar Assad, he said, and this comes at a time when over 300,000 people have lost their lives in Syria and more than 12 million others have been displaced.
The Saudi top diplomat described the crime by Assad against the Syrian people as a grave catastrophe.
