Following a decision in the parliament to alter the country’s labor law, dozens of workers from the capital Tehran and other cities rallied on Saturday in front of the Parliament to protest the new labor law.
According to the workers, the amendment that the mullahs’ parliament is seeking to adopt would result in a “vast unemployment amongst employees of large industrial and production institutions” and would include all employees, even those with permanent contracts.”
The protesters believe that in case of any alterations that the parliament seeks regarding the labor law verbal contracts with less than 30 day expiration date would surface in the work market which would leave the workers less job security even with limited and temporarily job openings
