Baghdad seeks new massacre against Ashraf, Independent Iraqi Jurists

The Association of Independent Iraqi Jurists, consisting of 12,000 lawyers and jurists announced in a statement: “The recent remarks of Iraq’s government spokesman regarding Ashraf residents’ departure of Iraq until the end of the year reveals Baghdad’s objective and strategy being to carry out another killing spree against the defenseless Ashraf residents.
The tone of threat used by the Iraqi government’s official spokesman shows that this group of people are acting under orders issued by Iran’s terrorist Quds Corps, loyal to no legal or international logic or international conventions and covenants. Therefore, the deciding countries in the UN Security Council and European Union are obliged to remain loyal and committed to their responsibilities towards supporting conventions and covenants that humanity has reached through impassible paths and registered in the UN.
The Iraqi government must understand that Ashraf residents have legal status under law. The Iraqi government must know that this number of killed and wounded residents, along with dozens taken hostages, will eventually bring about legal consequence by international courts, and the prosecution of these crimes is inevitable.
Our association, consisting of over 12,000 lawyers and jurists, calls on the United Nations to adopt bonded measures for legal prosecution.
