Based on reports from inside Iran, clashes took place between youths and special Anti-Riot Unit forcesin Tabriz’sShahnazAvenue and Amin intersection on Saturday.
Other sources reported on hand-to-hand clashes between youths and Basijjmilitias. Repressive security forces brutally attacked women.
These clashed took place while sounds of helicopters and planes could be heard flying overhead nonstop. This city has never seen so manypatrolling motor-riders before,as many as 100 in groupsof 7 to 10.
In Urumieh, people staged a demonstration form the beginning of FotouhiAvenue to ZhandarmeriSquare. They chanted slogans “Lake Urumieh isdying,Majlis (parliament) orderedthe killing”. The Iranian regime’s suppressive agents raided demonstrators and arrested many of them.
In the city of Khoi in Azerbaijan Province, people took part in anti-government protests in the city’s main square.
In the city ofMarand in Azerbaijan Province, anti-riot forces stationed throughout the city launchingwidespread arrest sweeps.
