Simin Ayuzzadeh, the mother of political prisoner Omid Ali Haghshenas, has been condemned to 91 days behind bars and 74 lashes.
“The charges raised against me are completely different to what I did. Therefore, I don’t accept my ruling and refuse to consider it fair or logical at all,” Ayuzzadeh said.
This Iranian woman had been rallying with 17 other citizens outside of Tehran’s notorious Evin Prison on November 11, 2015.
Omid Ali Haghshenas, the son of Simin Ayuzzadeh, spent months in jail and was condemned to 10 years behind bars at a court hearing held on March 5, 2015. His lawyer filed an appeal after the ruling and the appeals court ruling has not been announced for months now.
Haghshenas was released on bail of 7 billion rials (around $200,000) until an appeals court ruling. (Radio
